Our high-tech name selector (aka Chasey) proudly pulled the “N” family out of the hat! Congrats “N” family! Jennifer had only wonderful things to say about her husband Jason. He’s a great dad and he is one of the many men and women that risk their lives for our country and freedom. There were a few photos that were sent, but I thought this one was the most touching.

“He is an Active Duty Army Staff Sargent Military Police Officer who is working on leaving for his third 15 month long deployment in Iraq in the past 4 years. No matter where or what he is doing he manages to make my son feel included in everything he does. Whether it be letters, pictures or web cam he stays in touch and lets his son know he is always there for him no matter what the circumstances. He does not get a lot of time to spend with us but when he does it is always spent creating fun memories that he and my son can look back on when he is away.”

(that was just part of Jenn’s email of why Jason is a great dad to his son Ryan) I can’t wait to photograph your beautiful family!

in-case you’re wondering about the Father’s Day contest winner, I’m just waiting to hear back from the winner then I will post his identity!

I hope all of the daddies are having a great day!   I am very lucky to have a great husband that is also happens to be an awesome daddy.   Earlier in the week I started a contest and so many of you emailed me a photo and story about why your significant other was the *best* daddy (the winner will be posted shortly).   So I feel it’s only fair to post why my husband is the best dad! Nine years ago when I met him, I’d knew he’d be a great dad, he’s a big kid himself!  We had a long, bumpy road to go down before we had our boys.  When my oldest was born, they handed him to my husband and he looked down at Chase and then back up at me and you could just see the total and complete joy in his eyes for his son.  That joy just grew when Connor was born.  Besides being good with  the boo-boos and  crying fits, he gets down on the ground with them and plays “army guys”, and plays hide and seek with them for hours!  He reads bedtime stories (when he can) and gets up early with them almost every morning and lets me sleep in (one of the many good husband traits).   In the words of boys, “daddy is the bestest daddy ever!”  (pictures to follow…as soon as I have time to edit them!)

We’re a few days away from Father’s day and I thought it’d be nice to have a little contest (I love contests)! Send me a photo of your significant other with your kid(s) and tell me what makes him such a great dad! I will pick one deserving dad for a family session and free 8×10. This gorgeous boy was just shy of 2 weeks at the time of our session.  He slept the entire time and was just a joy to photograph!  Here’s a sneak peek of my session with baby Casen.
