to start posting to my blog more…yeah I know, I’ve been seriously neglecting the good ol’ blog.  I will get to that in a bit.  I wanted to take a second to make a studio announcement and offer a few fall session incentives!! Yay, who doesn’t love a bonus for booking early?  Even though it’s 100 degrees out, it’s time to start thinking about fall sessions.  I have been brainstorming what to offer this year…I wanted to do something different and fun.  I might have gone a little crazy.   My fall schedule fills up fast, email to schedule your fall session now!   I will have fun and new card designs to choose from this year and as always, quality photos that you will cherrish forever!

I hope everyone is having a great fall so far!  I have a bunch of sneak peeks to post, but first I wanted to let everyone know that I have only a few standard session appointments left for 2009!   I do still have appointments for newborns (I set time aside each week just for new arrivals).  There is still time to book an appointment and have prints back in time for Christmas gift-giving!   Shoot me an email or give me a call, 209-535-0345.  I am also booking January and February appointments now.   What’s more, all appointments booked in November and December for  January and February sessions will recieve a special gift!

Huh?! In August?  Well, not really….but now is the time to start thinking about fall portraits, holiday gifts and cards!  It is officially the time to start booking your fall session.  Fall sessions are limited and book up very quickly!  The last fall session available for holiday cards is November 14th, gift giving a little later…

I have a fabulous new collection of holiday cards this year and something new and “digital” is coming.  (details to come soon!)

on another note…can you smell the scent of fresh pencils and new notebooks in the air?  Back to school time has always been one of my favorite times of the year!  I loved school shopping and preparing for a great school year.  This year the tables have been turned on me and I’m mom to a big kindergartner!  I shed tears of joy and sadness last week when I sent him off to “big” school for the first time!   We are still adjusting.  I appreciate your patience waiting for sneak peeks and galleries!  I will be posting more sneak peeks tomorrow.

Good changes.  A name change!  Michelle Skubic Photography will soon become Life as Art Photography.   I am super excited for this as I have been planning it for such a long time now.  The url will be much easier to remember and spell correctly (no more…”hmm….how the heck do you spell SKUBIC !?”).   The new url will be www.lifeasartphotos.com  but you will still be able to type in www.michelleskubicphotography.com and get to the right place.   I truly see life as art and I think the name fits.   I hope that you will help me celebrate this new change!

The change won’t happen for a few weeks and I will definitely formally announce it before everything changes over, I just want to keep everyone in on what’s coming.

No…not really, but it is time to start thinking about Christmas portraits! The Christmas season is a joyous, busy time for everyone (including me!) fall sessions book very quickly! I will have a lot of new and very cool Christmas cards to offer this year, and the deadline to order them is November 15th. The last session available for Christmas portraits (cards and gifts) is October 26th. This time line assures that everyone’s portraits and cards are ready to go before Christmas! If you’re interested in having fall portraits done, please email or call to check availability, booking your appointment early assures that you will have a spot in my appointment book!
